Previous Employment
From 2004-2007 I worked as a computer cluster consultant at the University of Notre Dame.
My main duties entailed helping patrons with software and hardware problems, as well as with the
various network services available. Additionally, I often had to inspect malfuncting equipment and
learn how to fix the various problems that would arise. My formal training, as well as my person interest
in computers, has helped me develop strong problem solving skills.
From 2003-2004 I worked at Catering...by Design, a company located on campus at the
University of Notre Dame. While working in the office, I learned the importance of strong
organizational skills. My managers often trusted me with the responsibility of being in charge of large
sums of money, and taught me the importance of accurate bookkeeping.
Flipside Club Publicist
For the 2006-2007 school year, I worked as the Flipside club publicist. At the beginning of the
year I redesigned the club website and introduced an automated system that allowed visitors to
add their email address to our mailing list. Each week I would design the posters for our events,
get them approved, and supervise their duplication. This job required me to be punctual and
helped me develop my advertising and graphic design skills.
2007, 2006: Notre Dame Film Festival
My film Flipped, which I coproduced with Lisa Goepfrich and Fabian Farias, was chosen as an entry in the 2007 University of Notre Dame
Film Festival. My other film, Variable 17, which I coproduced with Elyse Allen, was chosen for the previous year's festival.
Both works were made on 16mm film and edited in Final Cut Pro. Various other programs, such as
Adobe Photoshop and After Effects were used for graphics work and special effects.
Summer 2005: Intro to Film and Video Production
This was my first formal production class at Notre Dame. Since I had spare time over the summer, I often borrowed the equipment
for extra practice. We used Canon GL-1 and GL-2 cameras and external microphones to capture the audio.
Each of my three films featured motion graphic title sequences and two of them featured composited special effects that I created
with Adobe After Effects. Additionally, I color graded certain sequences in order to create the look that I desired.
Spring 2005: Corpus Christi School 8th Grade Video
I was hired by a local grade school to produce their 8th grade graduation video. I scanned hundreds of pictures into my computer and used Photoshop to correct most of them. This included removing red eye and airbrushing
out dust and scratches. I then imported each picture into Adobe After Effects and manually added motion and a smooth transition between each one.
Once I rendered the video, I added the soundtrack with Adobe Premiere. I used Adobe Encore to create a DVD with a custom menu system and I burned over 50 copies.
2005: Student Union Board Graphic Designer
I worked for the Notre Dame
Student Union Board as a graphic designer. This job required the creation of numerous
different posters and flyers that would be used to advertise events that SUB was sponsoring. Through this job,
I was able to improve my time management skills while better understanding the techniques of advertising.
